Getting Started

What is Moya?
Moya is a mobile platform that connects people who need services with skilled professionals in their local area. Whether you're looking for a plumber, electrician, tutor, or any other service provider, Moya makes it easy to find, review, and connect with trusted professionals.
How do I create an account?
You can create an account in three ways:
  • Phone Number: Enter your phone number and verify with an SMS code
  • Email: Sign up with your email address
  • Google Sign-In: Use your existing Google account for quick registration
The entire process takes less than a minute!
Is Moya free to use?
Yes! Downloading and using Moya is completely free. You can browse services, contact providers, and read reviews at no cost. Service providers set their own rates for the services they offer.
Do I need to create an account to browse services?
You can browse available services and categories as a guest. However, to contact service providers, write reviews, or offer your own services, you'll need to create a free account.

Finding Services

How do I find service providers near me?
Moya uses your location to show you nearby service providers. Simply:
  1. Grant location permission when prompted
  2. Browse categories or use the search feature
  3. View providers on the map or in list view
  4. Filter by distance, rating, price, and availability
Can I search for remote services?
Yes! Many services on Moya can be provided remotely, such as online tutoring, graphic design, or consulting. Use the filters to show only remote services, or browse all services regardless of location.
How do reviews work?
Reviews help you make informed decisions. After using a service, you can rate the provider (1-5 stars) and write a detailed review. All reviews are from verified users who have actually contacted the service provider. You must be at least 15 years old to write a review.
What does "Verified Service" mean?
Verified services have been reviewed by our team to ensure the provider has submitted accurate information and meets our quality standards. Verified providers have demonstrated professionalism and reliability.

Communication & Booking

How do I contact a service provider?
Once you find a service you're interested in, tap the "Message" button on their profile. This opens a direct chat where you can discuss your needs, ask questions about pricing, and arrange the service.
Is my conversation private?
Yes, all messages are private and secure. Only you and the service provider can see your conversation. We encrypt all communications and never share your messages with third parties.
How do I arrange payment?
Currently, all payment arrangements are made directly between you and the service provider. Discuss pricing, payment methods, and terms before the service is provided. Always agree on the total cost upfront to avoid misunderstandings.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Contact the service provider directly through the chat as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Be respectful of their time – last-minute cancellations may affect their business.

Becoming a Service Provider

How do I offer my services on Moya?
To become a service provider:
  1. Create an account if you haven't already
  2. Tap "Create Work Profile" from your profile page
  3. Fill in your professional information, skills, and experience
  4. Create service listings with descriptions, pricing, and photos
  5. Submit for verification (optional but recommended)
What information do I need to provide?
You'll need to create a professional profile including:
  • Display name and professional bio
  • Service categories and skills
  • Pricing and availability
  • Service area or if you offer remote services
  • Optional: work experience, education, certifications, portfolio
How much does it cost to offer services?
Creating a work profile and listing your services is completely free. There are no subscription fees or commissions. You keep 100% of what you earn from your services.
How do I get more clients?
To attract more clients:
  • Complete your profile with detailed information
  • Add high-quality photos of your work
  • Respond quickly to messages
  • Provide excellent service to earn positive reviews
  • Keep your availability status updated
  • Get verified to build trust

Account & Privacy

How do I change my password?
Go to Settings → Account Settings → Change Password. If you signed up with Google and haven't set a password yet, you can create one here. You'll need to enter your current password (if you have one) and choose a new one.
Can I link my Google account?
Yes! If you created an account with a phone number or email, you can link your Google account later. Go to Settings → Account Settings → Linked Accounts → Connect Google. This allows you to sign in with either method.
What data do you collect?
We collect only the information necessary to provide our services: your name, contact information, location (when you grant permission), messages, and usage data. Read our complete Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data including your profile, messages, and reviews. See our Data Deletion guide for complete instructions.

Technical Support

The app isn't working properly. What should I do?
Try these troubleshooting steps:
  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Close and restart the app
  3. Update to the latest version from the Play Store
  4. Clear the app cache (Settings → Apps → Moya → Clear Cache)
  5. If the problem persists, contact our support team
I'm not receiving notifications. How do I fix this?
Check these settings:
  • Ensure notifications are enabled for Moya in your phone settings
  • Check notification preferences in app Settings
  • Make sure you're logged in to your account
  • Try logging out and back in
Which devices are supported?
Moya supports Android devices running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or higher. For the best experience, we recommend keeping your device updated to the latest Android version.

How does Moya ensure safety?
We take safety seriously:
  • All users must verify their phone number or email
  • We review and can remove inappropriate content

What should I do if something goes wrong?
If you experience an issue with a service provider or another user:

How do I report inappropriate content or behavior?
